Saw Dust
November 21, 2019

If you try to burn sawdust on your stove or open fire you’ll be disappointed. It will tend to smother a nice fire and produce lots and lots of smoke. That’s a pity if you have lot’s of waste sawdust.

But, it can be put to very good use when lighting your fire. The two videos below show you how it works. Simply build your kindling on top of a bed of sawdust. All the smoke from the sawdust is burned off as it is pulled into the flames from the kindling. Simple.

And another 30 seconds later …….

Starting your fire hot and quickly like this will give you the most efficient result.
